A Celebrant's Life

Being a Celebrant is more than just Wedding Ceremonies

As most of you have probably noted by my status change I’ve started a new career as a Celebrant.

I’m actually pretty excited by my new venture and thrilled by the support I have received from my family and friends across everyday life and social media.  What’s inspiring to me is the amount of people who keep saying to me things like, “what a great idea” and, “you’d perfect for that”.  It’s that kind of positive energy that is a daily reminder of the amount of good will that surrounds us.

While there are many aspects to the job of a Celebrant what drew me most to the role was the opportunity to perform wedding ceremonies.  I will freely admit I am a self-confessed great believer in marriage and all it stands for.

As a person who has been happily married for 28 years and now moving into my 29th I am a huge fan of finding your soul mate and spending the rest of your life with them.  To me the perfect start to that journey is marriage.

To assist couples beyond the preparation and performance of their ceremony I have also started a blog that will deal with, in my own particular and hopefully amusing way, the marriage experience and how to maintain happiness in a relationship.  There will also be advice and recommendations on wedding services.

As all of you know having a presence in social media is essential to a start-up.  To help me in my endeavors I am seeking your assistance to spread the word about my new venture by liking my Facebook page and liking and sharing posts that I create.  To this end I invite you all to like my Facebook page at @CelebrantinWA.  Please note I only use social media for business purposes and to assist others in their own ventures.

If you get a chance read my first blog entitled, “Marriage ….it’s not complicated”!
